One of the best things about living in Southern California is the endless list of things to do and places to explore. Here are just a few of my favorites.

If you haven’t been to see Book of Mormon, stop reading this and go buy your tickets! It’s completely wrong but oh so funny.
Lake Hollywood Reservoir
A beautiful retreat in the center of Hollywood. It’s far up in the hills and somewhat tricky to find but the effort is worth it when you arrive.
To get there from Sunset Blvd:
North on N. Cahuenga Blvd.
Right onto Cahuenga Terrace
Slight right onto San Marco Drive
Right onto Deep Dell Place (don’t get confused and go onto Holly Drive)
Left onto Weidlake Drive, then follow signs to the reservoir
Yamashiro
Nestled up in the Hollywood Hills behind Magic Castle, this sushi place offers good food, great views and, from what I hear, a killer Thursday night farmer’s market.
CAPITOL RECORDS
The view from Lexington Social House, Hollywood. Nothing to complain about here.
Walk of Fame
Just in time for The Avengers opening weekend, Scarlett Johansson got her star on Hollywood Blvd today.
Urban Outfitters Sample Sale
April 13-15 in Hollywood. Clothing and Accessories for $5.
Hollywood Walk of Fame
Sometimes it still boggles me that I work on Hollywood Blvd, in the middle of all the madness. That’s my building right behind the John Carter billboard.
