One of the best things about living in Southern California is the endless list of things to do and places to explore. Here are just a few of my favorites.

Chinatown
It’s an easy place to get dim sum (Empress Pavilion), a great place to get artwork framed on the cheap (Framing House Design) and a fun place to grab a drink and dance to some 80s tunes (Hop Louie).

Using downtown L.A.’s iconic skyline as your muse, create your own one-of-a-kind skyline right on the historic sidewalks of El Pueblo Plaza. For one day only, the walkways of the Chinese American Museum will be transformed into urban canvases, inviting participants to envision and draw their own vibrant buildings using colored chalks.
This program is inspired by CAM’s newest exhibit, Breaking Ground: Chinese American Architects in Los Angeles (1945-1980).
Chalk will be provided. Free Admission.
